Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. This was truly one of the best dental experiences I have ever had! Dr. Cupp and the entire team are exceptionally professional, friendly, and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. A special thank you to LaShonda, who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my visit. Her kindness and genuine care made all the difference. The level of service, attention to detail, and patient-centered care exceeded my expectations. I am so glad I chose this practice for my dental needs and highly recommend Dr. Cupp and his staff to anyone looking for outstanding dental care!

The front desk staff at Southern Dental are always kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of my dental hygienist, but she made me feel comfortable and was easy to talk to throughout my visit. The office has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere, which I really appreciate as someone who isn't a big fan of going to the dentist. Overall, it was a great experience.

I wish I could put more than 5 stars! I'm TERRIFIED of dentists. Like shaking as I was making the appointment and about to vomit the day of. Imani, Ryann, Tabitha, and Dr. Burton were so sweet and kind. Everyone took every single step that they could to make me feel welcomed and safe there. I haven't been to the dentist in yearssss because of how scared I've been, but that all went away. Extra shout-out to Ryann and Tabitha for keeping me laughing and comfortable. I was terrified to be there but they kept me talking so I wouldn't be scared. Or when they were working in my mouth, they would talk to me. I didn't have a chance to be scared. I'm so grateful for those ladies π«Ά. I hope to have them again for my next procedures. The new patient questions were in depth and allowed me to select what was scary about the dentist. Imani set with someone who knew I would click with and I had a great time! I got to wear sunglasses to reduce the light snd make me feel calmer. I will back again and I'm so grateful for everyone that made this a great experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart π«Άπ«Άπ«Άπ«Ά

Recently moved back home to Savannah and it was time to find a new dentist. Iβm so happy I took a chance on Southern Dental. Frequent moving has shown me it can be tough to find a provider and team to trust but my first visit was amazing! From the receptionist to the dental hygienist, to the doc. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable π₯° Tabitha has given me such confidence in maintaining my smile!! I 100% recommend this practice. They will not disappoint.
